Default ZeroRake exposed. And that\'s all I have to say about it.

I decided to try rocking the boat at ZeroRake today, to see if I could cause a reaction.

I did.

Unlike me, , using what was happening, I started hassling the table, and asking particular players if they were props; if they were surprised when my AA played AA; if they were surprised six AA's came up in twenty minutes; if they were surprised that my QQ played KK; etc; etc.

I was accused of all sorts of things by MartyZero, fatcat, and Picasso, (mainly), but others thought I was a nutcase, too. (Fair enough! No arguments yet.)

MartyZero asked if I knew that props aren't allowed to be rude, and when I said yes, he said, good, he was going to prove he wasn't a prop. In fact, this made me believe he wasn't a prop; until he used the "we" word, twice, when he was answering further questions.

fatcat was really getting stroppy, (for no real reason, as I figured him for a tight, aggressive winning player), and he kept typing "fo" when I was needling him about his ultimate slowplay of 42s in the sb which turned into a full house. (I got away for Zero!)

Suddenly, fatcat and MartyZero left the table on hand 76460, and fatcat came back in MartyZero's seat, for hand 76461.

Immediately, I received a chat message which said, "Your chat privileges have been removed by the cardroom management."

Within two seconds of my receiving this message, fatcat wrote in chat, exactly:

f
f
f
f
f
fffffffffffff
f
f
f
f

Well, well, well.

I had made a big point not to use swearwords, or to directly insult players, because I had it in the back of my mind that removing my chat would be a good strategy if they didn't want criticism voiced at the table. fatcat used directly abusive language, and insults, towards me, as did MartyZero.

Present at the table was Daniture. After I lost my chat privileges he made pleasant remarks towards me, to which, obviously, I could not respond. (If you are here, Dan, I have no doubts that you are an ordinary player at the site.)

Others present were BigFish and mausgamble, but unless they had been watching the game, they would not have been privy to much of the earlier table chat.

In my own mind I am 100% certain that fatcat is Management, because of the timing and spew as detailed above. (Although, after this post, I doubt if he will play again under that name.)

I am 75% sure that MartyZero and Picasso are associated in
some way: perhaps as shills, in the old-fashioned sense.

Perhaps ZeroRake would care to respond to this post, and give me a reason for removing my chat? ( ) (I have sent two e-mails to support@zerorake.com but received no acknowledgements, let alone replies.)

(I left the table the next round, at exactly even.)

interesting.

fwiw....i put the two players you are 75% certain are props as actually being closer to 77% and 73% respectively.

the first player i would put at 98%...not 100%. i mean, anything's possible.

regardless, thanks for the research.

Mike,

Thanks for the detective work. I refuse to go that hole until their management admits they are spamming 2+2 and apologizes.

erm, I'm not exactly sure what this proves. Because you got your chat revoked there is a giant conspiracy? You can get your chat banned for doing other things besides using swear words. I know becaus eI got Segors chat banned a couple times, and all he was doing was being annoying (well the first time he was swearing, there after he made it a point not to swear, still got him banned tho).

"f
f
f
f
f
fffffffffffff
f
f
f
f

This is your conclusive evidence?

I'm still not sure what you are saying. Even if they are props, I didn't know having props meant the site was crooked? Party, UB, paradise, theyve all used props.

If the site was rigged, don't you think you would have left with less money then you went in it?

I havent played much with martyzero. But I'm pretty sure Picasso isn't a prop, the guy is pretty clueless.

Again, what does all this prove?

I'm sorry but your post is kinda useless, what does it prove? If it were my cardroom and you were out of line I'd ban your chat too. Ever think that the players complained about you to support, which in turn got your chat banned?

Default ZeroRake exposed?

ok - you're right

it doesn't prove anything at all one way or another

getting my chat banned within less than one minute of leaving the table, and coming back to the table within a minute, and saying "f f f f f" within another few seconds, doesn't mean anything

i guess i am jumping to conclusions

and i don't think i have accused the site of being crooked - if i have, i retract it - i meant only to question its honesty

i have no problem with props, either, but i like them to admit they are props when asked

of course, if these guys aren't props, then they have nothing to admit, but it sure was hard to get a yes or no out of them

it's a pity i can't change the title of my post to "ZeroRake exposed?"

picasso is still playing, and still winning, slowly

as i watched the game (not sitting in) i earned $7.50 on the rake-o-meter - i suppose this is a marketing strategy, but it makes me wonder how accurate the rake-o-meter is - my friend fatcat told me earlier that he had earned over $150 on the rake-o-meter although he had lost as much in real money - that also seemed weird for a guy that played so few hands but always with good cards when he did play - it did not compute

Of course I thought that was a possibility.

But I didn't swear; I didn't abuse; I didn't mention another poker site.

If you think that my asking players if they are props or if they think all is well with the site is grounds to ban my chat, well, I hope you never become a policeman in my neighbourhood.

(For all pro-ZRakers, I've earned $17.25 just watching this game. I'll be rich by the morning. Please say hi, any of the four playing at the only active table, this lovely Saturday* evening.)

*Thank you, Mr Bush.
