Default good poker chips- infor for those interested

This subject has come up a few times here so I thought I'd share.

I ordered from a company TR King based out of LA about 1 month ago. Just got the chips in today. They are 10.5 grams and are customizable with denominations and initials printed in gold inlays. Also can do edge spots, many color choices of chip but none for the spots (ie, if you order black chips and want edge spots, you MUST get white spots).

The chips themselves have a nice feel- real clay, heavy but not overly so. Nice casino style chips. They ship 3 weeks from order date which is why it took 4 weeks to get to me. Reasonable price.

I'd have to say I'm happy with them. I wish I had more of a choice for edge spot colors and styles, but it's not a big deal. Plus it would have made the cost go up more. Pokerchips.com is the only other place I know of that allows full customization but they told me they have an 8 week printing time. Yuck. These are pretty sweet- I'd give them an 8 or 9 out of 10.

Hope this helps.

Leon

Their stock seems somewhat limited. The 8.5 clay with custom color edge spots go for $0.50 per chip at pokerchip.com. i have a set that i received as a gift and have been very happy with.

leon, next time you talk to TR King, ask them to get larger pictures of the chips available. Also, are their 10.5 gram chips full "clay" or are they clay-filled?

The 10.5's are clay. They're nice.

And I do agree their stock is limited, esp compared to pokerchips.com. However, I wasn't willing to wait as long as 8 weeks, and for me the main thing was getting quality chips with edge spots. I would have preferred more options but oh well.

I don't think I will be speaking with TR king any time soon as these chips will hopefully last a long time. You should ask them yourself for more info if you're interested.

Take care.

Leon

Default James Bond Chips

I was just wondering if anyone has these. How do they compare to a casino chip or a company like Chipco?
