Default 77 - too weak?

6.50 stars turbo sng. villian seemed decent, kinda tricky.
my play seems very weak.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

Hero (t1285)
UTG (t3150)
MP (t4220)
Button (t3860)
SB (t985)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls t100, [color=#666666]1 fold</font>, Button calls t100, [color=#666666]1 fold</font>, Hero checks.

Flop: (t350) 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [color=#0000FF](3 players)</font>
Hero checks, UTG checks, Button checks.

Turn: (t350) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] [color=#0000FF](3 players)</font>
[color=#CC3333]Hero bets t300</font>, UTG folds, Button calls t300.

River: (t950) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font>

Indeed. 25% of my stack. If I'm called I'm rarely in a terrible shape. If anyone else liked their hand they'd have raised unless UTG is getting tricksy, but that's what reads are for. Barring any, or if UTG is a known fish, the chips are going in.

I wouldn't even mind to be called by KQ or some other crap, not saying I'd particularly love it, but it could be a lot worse.

I like the push line as well. You have plenty of folding equity and you pick up a good amount of chips.

Given that you played it the way you did up to the river, you have to fold.

While you likely do have the best hand on the turn, it's a tough spot to bet in because of the situation you found yourself in here: you commit a good amount of your stack, and if you get called you're OOP and pretty much have to check the river unless you spike a 7. If I have position on the other 2, maybe I do it. Here I wouldn't have.
