Default Well...how do you play this...

Hey guys,
I've been having a major problem with this leak of mine. I'm talking about JJ-QQ-KK, I find I'm running into an over-pocket pair a lot. And not having the where with all to fold.

I'm talking about when you have QQ, your raise/cap and the flop is perfect for your cards, you raise/cap the flop, call down and run into KK-AA or KK into AA, is their a trick to laying down a big pocket pair on a non-threatening board?

There is no trick, these are just tough situations. It should balance out in the long run.

It might help if you post a specific hand to see if there were any clues you were behind, but that's doubtful. You probably played these hands aggressively and correctly.

This isn't a leak. This is just unlucky. As the old saying goes, "that's poker."

my .2 cents

Usually when you build big pot preflop with your BIG pocket pairs you need to call down -_-

If I'm feeling frisky I'll check/call, check/call, check/call, but what you said is my default line in this situation.
