On the other hand player is in a very good position to bluff pre-flop. Imagine this example:

Let’s say that each player has 50 big blinds.

Player1 is in the BB with AA. Player2 makes a huge bet 15-20xBB with 72o. What should Player1 do? Trust that Player2 will hit two pairs or better on the flop and fold his rockets? A raise is extremely dangerous since he might be beaten already and a call could still mean loosing 1/3 of the whole stack.

Or you could turn this example around:

Player1 is SB with AA and player2 is BB with 72o. Player1 raise to 5xBB (they play a hard game) and player2 pushes. Once again player1 is facing an extremely hard decision.

I think player2 will win since he can outplay his opponent pre-flop.

What if your opponent makes sure that you commit most of your stack pre-flop? As you mention player2 (who knows the flop) will be unable to bluff or represent anything after the flop so he will force you will have to make your decisions pre-flop. Imagine all the times you muck a crap hand just to discover that you would have hit two pair - This will never happen to player2. Imagine the extreme power a small pair will have. If you both have 50BB stacks and player2 raises 25xBB from SB with 22 and you are BB with 88 what should you do? Does he think he has a 50-50 shot to win this hand or does he know he will hit a set? I will cost you half your stack each time to find out.
