Default Risking ur tourney life with 6 high.

Total number of players : 7
Seat 1: SmokeAlott ( $1455 )
Seat 4: JPJedi ( $1214 )
Seat 5: be_here_now ( $963 )
Seat 6: RyderOX ( $756 )
Seat 8: hockeyste ( $884 )
Seat 9: xfkzjg1 ( $1430 )
Seat 10: spawn227 ( $1298 )
Trny:14321515 Level:7
Blinds(150/300)
** Dealing down cards **
Dealt to be_here_now [ 5c 6s ]
RyderOX folds.
hockeyste folds.
xfkzjg1 folds.
spawn227 folds.
SmokeAlott raises [1000].
JPJedi folds.
Val calls.

WHY: folding leaves me with 2x the BB, no FE at all AND its still 7 handed so its not like Im doing some huge mistake.
I much rather gamble and have 2000, ICM can suck my cock.( maybe ICM agrees with me)

I would be much happier about this spot if you were sooted. Man, tough spot.

I think this is a fold because there are so many players at the table, you have more time to find a hand.

ICM: after I fold: $18, after I call: >$18 as long as I win 41% of the time, well its slightly -icm EV to call, but like I said I rather have my FE.

The argument that "there are many players left so you have time to wait for a better hand/spot" is counterbalanced by "there are many players left with stacks similar to mine so my equity share in the prize $ really sucks so why not call?"

You're getting the right price on two overs, but I still would fold here.

Why would you spend $80 on a program like ICM if you're not going to listen to it?

1) ICM isnt always right, ICM doesnt know 25% of my stack is in the middle no matter what.
2) ICM is free.

If you are intending to call with any 2 in the BB, you should push the previous hand instead.

i fold this 100%.

2 bb when the bb is 300 is a lot different from 2 bb when the bb is 50. one double up and you're back in decent chip position. since you'll be so shortstacked in the sb, the co and the button will attempt fewer outright steals and a lot of the time it will fold around to you. even if an EP player pushes and you fold 52o in the sb, you have a few hands before you go back to the blinds to catch a pair, 2 broadway or Ax and triple up if someone pushes in front of you and you win.
