Default River Plan w 33 ($33)

Relevant reads - villian has been tight so far, and I haven't seen him get out of line yet.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (5 handed) converter

SB (t1660)
Hero (t3630)
UTG (t3310)
MP (t1755)
Button (t3145)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
2 folds, Button raises to t600, 1 fold, Hero calls t400.

Flop: (t1300) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, Button checks.

Turn: (t1300) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets t600, Button calls t600.

River: (t2500) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)

Whats your plan for the river and why? Comments on previous streets also appreciated, if any.

I probably would have folded preflop. I think I check/call the river.

Why fold this hand preflop? Stacks not deep enough?

What's your plan on the flop if he bets?? My point is that without a set on the flop, you have absolutely no clue where you stand. I fold despite getting 2-1 odds because you MUST commit more chips to define your hand. You have plenty of chips, so I'd just wait for a better hand/position.

I understand your point entirely. At the time, I felt that I could take the pot away with a bet on a flop that missed him - we was pretty tight/straightforward post flop. Unfortunately, flop was awfully coordinated. Looking back, probably a marginal call at best.
