that's another unspoken given in the concert scene. once someone goes down, you have to help them up...no exceptions.

The second he threw that girl to the ground, he deserved to get stomped. He was being an [censored] up to that point, and basically asking for a fight from what it sounds like. When it came to the point where someone got hurt because he couldn't handle himself, then he deserves what he gets. I go to shows a few times a weeks, and there's almost without exception, a couple of people that make it hard for everyone else around them to have fun because they're oblivious to how to handle themselves. I ignore them for the most part, but there's definitely a point to draw the line and this dude crossed it.

Based on my friends that like GWAR, they're far from the long hair metal type. They're nerds. That was basically my impression of most GWAR fans.

How could someone who likes a band that dress up as monsters during their concerts be considered a nerd? Geesh!

It was a great show, especially when the sawed the pope in half with a chainsaw.

if the show was the real misfits this clearly would not have happened. listen to the live version of horror business from the coffin box set, at the beginning of the song glenn danzig yells to somebody in the audience "you do that one more time you [censored] [censored] and you die" the new crew pales in comparison [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Whats wrong with being into metal and going to a misfits show [img]/images/graemlins/confused.gif[/img] I saw them two nights in a row in smaller venues over here fantastic pit and one of the shows is one of my best ever shows.

I don't support what happened to the guy, but I don't feel sorry for him, either. When you act like an [censored] in a setting like this, you set yourself up to face repercussions for your actions. I don't think the guy deserved to be stomped, but I also don't feel sorry for him in the least.

It's not worth putting your own safety on the line for someone like this. Let the bouncers handle it.

I don't know why they have to stomp the dude's face. I mean kicking the [censored] out of his ribs is one thing. That said I stil probably wouldn't step in.

And I didn't even realize that people still "pit". Thought that went out with grunge.

THe same Glen "Dwarf" DAnzig who was shown getting knocked down by some wannabe punk bank lead singer.

I did think Michael Graves era was pretty good but did think that Danzig was going to come back last year after his failures and the misfits losing a couple of people, seemed the right time for it.

It also sounds like the girl in question was "asking for a fight". Only she was asking her two larger friends to fight someone else on her behalf.

She got hurt because she got to a point "where she couldn't handle herself". She put herself in a situation where it should have been obvious what the end result would be.

She nearly "deserved" what she got as well. I DO NOT agree with any violence against women whatsoever. But pushing her to the ground in a pit is getting it easy IMO. I've seen a lot worse things done to chicks in the pit before.

I don't agree with the guy's attitude really either. But it seems to me that the girl was the instigator, agitator, and motivation for the fight, and then she just left it up to her two friends to gang up and stomp some guy in the face while he was laying on the ground. Totally wrong.

I vote to jump in and help. No one should be stomped while they are defenseless on the ground (especially in the face). It's even worse since he was setup in a fight and then beat up by two guys that are obviously pussy and had little business being involved.
