Re: My only problem playing limit poker
Daniel Negreanu
"In my opinion, there is no game that requires more feel and practice than limit hold’em. If you’re not playing enough of it and are facing someone who is, you are generally going to be a big underdog. You know what they say, practice makes perfect." Is that citizen Kane talking? It is always hilarious in life to meet people with 10 times the ego that they should have. |

Re: My only problem playing limit poker
www.philhendrieshow.com
its a radio show where phi hendrie has a guest on put he does the voice of both the guest and the interviewer host. all of the guests are reoccuring and are screwballs. some example of bits are his boss calls him and asks if they are on commercial and he tells him that the radio station is donating money to a missing girl charity - but he will say something like "that missing broad" - but they really arent donating any money its just a lie, and the skit will go like that - they go back on the air and people will call in very pissed. its really well done though. if you pay the $7 you can get a backstage pass to his archives. it really passes the time when you are grinding. |

Re: My only problem playing limit poker
[ QUOTE ]
I laugh my ass off at Limit Players all over the world. [/ QUOTE ] True Story: I am at Atlantic City playing 1/2 NL Hold Em, waiting for a real game, i.e. 20/40 limit....... I've been at the table for 2 hrs and a solid player, 3rd to act, opens for $12.00, two callers and I call in the BB with 22. Flop: K,9,6 don't remember suits. Solid bets 1/2 the pot $20, folded to me and I raise the pot, $80.00 He folds, turning over 33. My hand is relinquished, face down, after having been given the pot. Another hand: 1st player in bets $22, gets 2 callers and I'm on the Button with K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] and just call. Flop: J88 with two clubs. 1st player bets $20 and gets one caller. I raise to $80.00. 1st player folds and 2nd player raises to $160.00. I smooth call. OP goes bets the duece on the Turn and I go all in, he calls with KK and no more kings come, however, the rest of chips do. Yada yada. NL Hold Em is great entertainment. |
