is betting here too aggressive?

You didn't lead the flop because you're on the button. Was it checked to you?

In general, I don't think leading out with a bet is too aggressive, but it's probably the last money I'd put into the pot (assuming I don't improve).

OK, so the actual question is "is raising here too aggressive" and I think the answer is "Yes".

What a horrid flop for JJ's. Depending on the table, there are not too many hands that UTG raises with that you are ahead of. I think the raise is a little overboard.
