Default Party $11: Top-2 Pair in SB

Sorry, converter doesn't seem to be working.

Pretty early but no real reads, although villain seems active. What do you think of the flop c/r, and should I have led out the turn?

Default Re: Party $11: Top-2 Pair in SB

Flop was perfect IMO. I'm going broke open-pushing this turn. I'm also calling his push. He overbet the flop. Building a pot w/ a FD is one thing. In decent position, buying the pot is another. A9 is just as likely, maybe even a mid-PP himself. The troubling thing is his call of your c-raise. A loose TPTK, overpair, etc. might be more inclined to push over here on the flop. His call does look a little flushy. But pushing behind your check again? I suppose...450ish pot. Why would a 'TPTK,overpair, etc." now feel in a better position? Just not buying your c-raise turned check? Tough call, but I think it's one you make successfully often enough.
