Playing NL live in LA the other night. Villain is a nice, but insane Russian guy. He has about $800, I cover.

I open w KK, he raises out of SB, I put in another raise and he pushes. I call. He proudly flips ATo, so I know the ace is coming. But it doesn't.

Why in the world?

That would give him 2 chances to hit a 10 and split. I'd rather just take it down 45 in 46 times.

Who shuffled, cut the deck, dealt, etc.?

The stakes are just big enough that -- for a live game in LA -- it's worth asking those questions.

HAHAHA - It was at a casino dude, and the dealers at Hollywood Park can barely figure out how to execute the drop, so rigging the deck would be like splitting an atom.
