And then you lose the chance to win the hand when you totally missed with suited connectors or Broadways. In a vaccuum, checking the flop with AA is probably best, but I don't like to play specific hands differently than the rest.

As AZK pointed out, you're now going to be called down by any pocket pair. If you blast the flop and turn, most players will wither up and leave town with small PPs.

If you push, what hand to you expect to call you? Pushing crossed my mind for about a second.

I'd just call. But I did see the same guy get quads three times tonight, so I might be slightly biased.
