Default Scoopa Scoopa Scoopa

I would like some comments on how I played this - my biggest Stud8b pot.

Stage #205826228: Seven Card Hi/Lo Normal $1/$2 - 2005-10-15 19:18:15 (ET)
Seat 1 - BEAVIS68 ($50.67 in chips)
Seat 2 - BAF1971 ($36.04 in chips)
Seat 3 - PUDDY561 ($22.90 in chips)
Seat 4 - WASTIN AWAY ($20.28 in chips)
Seat 5 - MARM ($51.85 in chips)
Seat 6 - EL NACHO ($52.14 in chips)
Seat 7 - PAPERNUTSACK ($38.30 in chips)
BEAVIS68 - Ante $0.20
BAF1971 - Ante $0.20
PUDDY561 - Ante $0.20
MARM - Ante $0.20
EL NACHO - Ante $0.20
WASTIN AWAY - Ante $0.20
PAPERNUTSACK - Ante $0.20
*** 3rd STREET ***
BEAVIS68 - Pocket [5h 6s 7h] Bring-In $0.50 , Calls $1.50, Calls $1
BAF1971 - Pocket [H H Jd] folds
PUDDY561 - Pocket [H H 8s] Calls $0.50, Calls $1.50
WASTIN AWAY - Pocket [H H 8d] folds
MARM - Pocket [H H Ac] - Raises $1 to $1, Raises $2 to $2
EL NACHO - Pocket [H H Jc] folds
PAPERNUTSACK - Pocket [H H As] Raises $2 to $2 , Calls $2

*** 4TH STREET *** (13.8 sb)
PAPERNUTSACK - Pocket [H H As 9s] Checks, Calls
BEAVIS68 - Pocket [5h 6s 7h 2s] Bets , Calls
PUDDY561 - Pocket [H H 8s Qc] Folds
MARM - Pocket [H H Ac 4c] Raises

I bet because I figured marm for a high hand, his raise made me think he may have a good low flush, so I just called, the 2 really wasn’t a great card.

*** 5TH STREET *** ~(10BBs)
MARM - Pocket [H H Ac 4c Kc] Bets, calls
PAPERNUTSACK - Pocket [H H As 9s 5c] Calls, calls
BEAVIS68 - Pocket [5h 6s 7h 2s 8c] Raises

I figure he may have flushed and may be free rolling for the low, but I have a made low with high potential now I want to try to protect it.

*** 6TH STREET *** (16 BB)
BEAVIS68 - Pocket [5h 6s 7h 2s 8c 8h] Bets, Raises
MARM - Pocket [H H Ac 4c Kc 9h] Calls, folds
PAPERNUTSACK - Pocket [H H As 9s 5c 6d] Raises, calls

I actually forgot all my 8s were dead, but I still have the straight draw, and my 8s may be good for the high if Paper hit a low.

*** RIVER *** ~23BB
BEAVIS68 - Pocket [5h 6s 7h 2s 8c 8h 9d] Bets
PAPERNUTSACK - Pocket [H H As 9s 5c 6d H] Calls

This is a little hard to read. Betting sixth street wasn't a good idea, and three-betting was just plain dizzy. The rest is fine.

"Scoopa Scoopa Scoopa" does look a little braggy.

I know. I was quite happy with the pot, but the play made me wonder.

I don't like the betting on sixth. it looks like paper (me)either has you beat for low and is freerolling for high or has you beat high and has a good shot at low.
if it helps any, I had a2a I think. but I would have played it the same with a23 or a34 or ace baby baby suited. I think you are just a tad bit better than 50/50 with my a2a (but I wanted a free showdown if I didn't improve ) and you are in very big trouble with the other three hands that I would have played the same way. So, I don't like 3 betting sixth... or even betting it for that matter. but the rest I think you played fine. the call on third is okay I think... especially since marm was playing like a fish and his raise didn't mean anything at the time.

And now you know why all the converters on 2+2 hide player names by default

I thought I played the hand fine. and when I say you were playing like a fish I definitely don't mean you are a fish. I mean that I noticed you were raising rather liberally with an ace door card at the time (which was ok because the table was awfully tight) so I wouldn't necessarily assume you had a super powerful hand... and may even have something like 210a or something.
