plaing on Gammon Empire
So I was looking at Gammon Empire's commission schedule and the commission seems huge. 4.9% for small stakes in a game played by 2 people seems like a lot to me. Is this standard and is the game beatable with such a comission structure?

Re: plaing on Gammon Empire
Yep, this is standard, and I also agree that the comission is huge for a game played by two people.
There are no figures, but it would be interesting to know how many % of the players who beat it. |

Re: plaing on Gammon Empire
GammonEmpire has an unusually high rake.
I was beating the rake soundly, though I haven't been playing there recently. The key is to play well against people who play horribly. (I also broke some half-decent players so they would stop playing my fish.) |

[ QUOTE ] We encourage matches between 2 players with a similar rating level therefore: Maximum $5 commission when both ratings of the players are over 1650. Decrease of 50% in commissions when both ratings of the players are over 1700. Increase of 50% in commissions when the difference of rating is 100 to 199. Increase of 100% in commissions when the difference of rating is 200 or more. Increase of 150% in commissions when the difference of rating is 250 or more. Increase of 200% in commissions when the difference of rating is 300 or more. [/ QUOTE ] |
