The bias on either side of this fence is overwhelming.

It would only be a matter of time before contrary opinions where deleted.

I think a person has to agree to being nominated in order for it to matter. That way the position isn't wasted.

I think one of the main problems is threads being created just to get other people agitated (with exception to current threads, such as bisons. a grandfather rule should be put in place)

agreed, if the wrong person was picked. if it was me, i would have no problem leaving threads alone as long as they were not created to just annoy people.

Yeah. Basically, no flame wars, no overt idiocy, no spam, and if someone posts about pickles, move it to OOT (unless he really did mean "pickles as in rundowns").

Bison's thread stays because it's huge.

On edit: Also, to thumbtack and officialize (my own word) threads dealing with a current, significant sporting event, so that we don't have seventy-two different Super Bowl threads.
