Default Ugly River

I don't think I can possibly get called by anyone who doesn't beats me.

However it may be possible to get a small heart to fold by betting Come to think of it, by betting 1 chip and getting a very small heart to fold it doesn't have to work very damn often to be correct.

Party Poker 1/2 Hold'em (9 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, Hero calls, 1 fold, MP2 calls, 1 fold, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (6 SB) 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB bets, Hero raises, MP2 calls, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB 3-bets, Hero caps, MP2 calls, CO calls $1.50 (All-In), SB calls, BB calls.

Turn: (12.75 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (5 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, MP2 folds, SB calls, BB calls.

River: (15.75 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players, 1 all-in)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero checks.

Final Pot: 15.75 BB

I think its a good play to throw a bet at the pot in these types of situations. Although, I think the All in hurts you a bit. I'd definitely fold to a raise.

The more I think about it, the more I think a bet is in order here. I've shown strength the entire time so the chance that a super weak heart folds is greater than 1:15.

But anyway

Results in white below:
SB has 5c 6s (one pair, sixes).
BB has Ks Td (one pair, kings).
Hero has 4d 4c (three of a kind, fours).
CO doesn't show.
Outcome: Hero wins 15.75 BB.

I think you are overthinking how often a better hand will fold. It is much closer to zero then you think. I would never fold a flush on this board for one bet given your flop action.

You know, I really would completely agree, but then stuff like this happens and I realize I have no [censored] clue what people play with.

I'm checking the river. I don't think anybody would drop a heart that is still here.

Checking against 2 opponents is usually right. The only time a bet moight be correct would be if the first guy is a total calling station but the second guy is a somewhat thinking player who hopefully doesn't notice that the other guy is a total calling station.

Agasint 1 player this is more interesting.

On the flip side he is seriously underestimating a person's ability to call without a heart.

I'd throw a bet at it. If you don't, some heart is almost always going to take the pot, so I'd give it a shot. The two players in front of you didn't bet, so if either or both have a heart, it's probably not a real big, supersize one. -TomBk
