It seemed to me like a fold, but I don't want to offer advice to someone in a game that is unfamiliar to me. In limit this hand plays out much differently.

Does anyone get tempted here by the $300 lying in the pot from a potentialy marginal hand or a draw from an over aggressive player?

[/ QUOTE ]

I thin kthat regardless of the game, this is a fold.

A good response to just about every massive overbet is, fold unless you have the nuts or a very solid read.

If this were on the river into a large pot, I could see it being a bluff, but it's neither.

I don't. He bet $300 into a $10 pot on a flop that screams steal or trap. Situations like this are why I like playing NL more than limit. He might be stealing my BB and may do it all the time but, unlike in limit, it can won back many times over in just one hand.

When you have a high action guy on your immediate right, it doesn't make sense to get invloved with marginal hands on boards like that. They'll be better times to take a nice slice out of him.

I like the wording and agree 100% with the sentiment.
He will 'get caught speeding' sooner or later.
