Default Who cares?

Thigs not to care about:

1) Players who wear sunglasses, hooded sweatshirts or any other attire that helps them get into character and adds to thier obvious enjoyment of the game. Happy players are looses players. Loose is goooood.

2) Table coaches. My favorite players are the ones that tell me exactly how they play, and all I have to do is ask....sweet.

3)When to leave when losing. Why on earth would you be thinking about this untill your stuck about 20 BB's. At that point, another loss and it's probably time to call it a day. It just isn't fun after that.
I'll let you in on the great "when to leave" secret. When you feel like crying, it's time to go.

4)Should you go pro? Gahhh. I hate this one. Just take a shot if it's what you want to do.

5) What others think of your playing poker. I'm not saying don't worry about the feelings of your friends and family, but be who you are. If you need to justify anything, you may have a bit of a problem.

Thats all I can think of right now. End of Rant.

also, I'll add:

-what you personally think about well-known tournament pros

-how much well-known tournament pros make

-is player "x" as good as well-known tournament pro "y"

-basically anything about well-known tournament pros. Just focus on making your own game better and forget about loving/hating somebody you know only from tv and by reputation.

Yeah, I left this one out for a reason. Sometimes there are some responses that are quite good in showing how the hand wasn't a bad beat at all or how poorly the poster played it to begin with. So there are at times some redeeming educational value. And some of them can be pretty damn funny too!

Great advice. I might add feeling the sudden urge to turn over the table or shower your remaining chips over the room!

bashing someone based on an extremely small sampling of hands they played in a shorthanded tourny game with a completely different strategy and approach than normal.
Most of these players have achieved more in their lives and play better than 98% of the posters on this board, yet there is a compelling urge to trash them annonymously on an internet message board.
Maybe if the trash posts stoppped you might see a few of the better players share some advice on this board. I know Annie Duke stated she shyed away beacuse someone always brings up some RGP thread from 2 years ago. Imagine the extra quality of advice if Annie, Howard and others posted without the fear of being criticized for non-poker related crap.
