Default $109s - Tough KJ hand

MP is a solid multitabler. BB is a tard, a fact MP may or may not have noticed.

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t100 (5 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

BB (t1590)
UTG (t1455)
MP (t3900)
Button (t1150)
Hero (t1905)

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls t100, 1 fold, Hero completes, BB checks.

Flop: (t300) J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero checks, BB bets t175, MP raises to t700, Hero folds, BB folds.

Final Pot: t1175

Eh...I'd give MP credit for at least AJ, maybe even getting sloppy w/ an overpair PF - coming over hard w/ the FD on board. Of course a nut flush might be doing the same, but I personally couldn't risk it here finding out (not to mention BB could be ahead of us, and is yet to act).

Edit: Multi-tasking...sorry, jumped right over your read. Certainly does make it a more interesting hand. I'll shamefully step down, looking for more intelligent replies than mine.

I don't like folding here. If BB is a tard, it gives more reason for MP not to respect him. I don't see MP limping with anything that has you beat. Personally, I would've led the flop, but given your line, all-in is a good play.

I play way down at the 16s, but I'll chime in and say it's a realitivly easy fold.

MP could have limped with AJs (though not likley since he's a multi-tabler) and have you dominated, or 22 or 77. The only other hand he could maybe do this with is AcKc, which isn't as likely, but possible.

And although you now know he folded, BB is also a worry. He checked the BB, he could have anything. He might be a donk, but being in the BB means any 2 cards. 2/7, J/2, J/7, I mean possibilities are endless (well, almost). Just because he folded doesn't mean you necessarily made a bad decision.

Your stack is fine, you don't need to risk a ton of chips on TPGK at this point.

If there's one thing I've learned from playing lots of ring games, it's to lead the flop here with a hand you can't get all in with via a check-raise. You've made the flop very difficult for you to play and I think a fold or push are viable options.

I don't understand why so many replies on this forum give the villain credit for precisely the hands you are afraid of whenever there is a show of strength.

AJ, 22, 77, overpairs?!!

The hands everybody is putting MP on are the hands you can essesntially rule out. He's a good player limping preflop as the big stack on the pre-bubble and then raising a tard after he makes a tard bet with another good player (but short stack) in between.

His range is much wider than he's being given credit for in the replies so far, and you rate to be ahead.

That doesn't mean you should necessarily call. But if you fold, you aren't doing it because you think he has AJ or a set.
