I would fold as well. 2 to act behind you (one of them was a PF 3 bettor). My first guess the 3 bettor would have is either AA-JJ(tt beign unlikely) or AK. All hands beat you, but you might get QQ to fold.

Could something better have happened?

If you get called you are most likely behind right?

So isn't it nice everyone gives you this pot?

I think if any of them had a flush draw they had odds to call, so if that's the case you actually forced them to make an error and thus you gain, nice play.

I would ask you, how could this get better? Get called down by a pair of 8's, sure, get called down by a pair of jacks, nightmare, get called down by a pair of Kings, even worse. I think this worked out as best it could...

I agree. I was inquiring about my line on this one, and wondering if it was a total maniac play, or something to try every great once in a while.

The subject was meant as a response to my thought when I raised the flop, which was, "I wonder if I can buy this pot right now?"

Sorry if I confused anyone -- I'm good at that, unfortunately.

Wow ! I guess you did scare them off. I would have thought that you would have been behind to any reasonable re-raising PF hand with that flop. i.e. AA,KK,QQ,JJ,AK.

I can only imagine that SB was on a flush draw and that MP3 was afraid that you had either a set of Ks or Js, meaning that he had AA or QQ.

I would like to ask what you would have done if MP3 had re-raised you again on the flop, or called and bet/raised on the turn (and you remained unimproved) ?

Somtimes luck happens.

I wouldn't try this play that often against three players who happily came in for 3 bets preflop.

If he re-raised again on the flop, I'm calling and folding to a UI turn.

If he called and then bet/raised the turn, and I remained unimproved, I would probably check/fold (not lead out the UI turn) since I would be then only getting 10:1 to hit my 2 outs. (Which may still leave me behind).
