Default The Muckleshoot may go smokeless

In a couple of weeks (I don't remember the specific date), seats 1 & 9 at all poker tables will be NON-SMOKING.

The floor also said that they are looking into making the poker room completely non-smoking.

so you want to sit in seat two or eight if you are stupid enough to play there and get poisened. they have one and nine for the dealers not the players. shows who they care about most.
if they go all non then maybe its a place to visit as long as their mindset changes as well.

Despite living 10 minutes from the Muck (south of even) I go all the way past it an hour to Tulalip for the smokeless environment and better dealers, etc.

better dealers

?

The Muck has the best dealers of any place in the Seattle metro area. Diamond Lil's is number 2. The Tulalip still has too many dealers that make mistakes in the NL game.

I didn't think about that, but I suppose that could be their reasoning.

This isn't California or Vegas. There is only ONE non-smoking poker room here and that is Tulalip. Ona good night, there are three or four $4/8 games, two NL games, a $10/20, and a $20/40 game. Most other nights we are lucky if they get two $4/8 games and two NL games going, so it just isn't worth the drive for anyone who wants to have a good game selection.

Tulalip for the better dealers,

You realize Tulalip has a wide reputation as having some of the worst dealers in the state?

I hope this initiative passes.

About a year ago I have this conversation at the Muck while complaining about the smoke to another non-smoking player.

Me: You know I heard that only 20% of people smoke in WA? I don't understand why the rest of us have to put up with this crap.
Him: Really? Looks like the complete opposite is true of poker players. 80% of the players here are smoking.

Heh.

Little Creek is also smokeless but again there's not much in game selection. Only 5 tables usually 1 NL a 10-20 and the rest 4-8 or less.

Please God let this pass, I hate waking up to reeking clothes and a stuffy nose after a night in one of the local rooms.

The one and nine is definately for the dealers, a few local rooms are doing that now.
