Life of a online pro

I think it would be interesting for someone to post the everyday experiences of an internet pro.
How did they make the transition from beginner to internet pro. What matrial in particular helped them (Books, software)
How long and at what limits they play
Are there any sites you could
link us to?
I know of the Ribbo site (PLO), Quiet Lion & Pokerbabes (Sirley Rosario)

I really don't think there are that many 7 stud online pros on this forum.

Those who derive their only income from poker tend to play hold em more than stud due to the ease of multitabling HE compared to stud.

I find the terms "on-line pro" and "life" to be contradictory.

Seems to me that there are plenty of hold'em types with blogs.

I was thinking the same thing last night Andy, I said to my friend more like "online grinder". I think a lot of online players are happy with things, but it truly is a grind.

I've seen a couple of people multitable stud 7 which is a lot easier and they are achieveing 2 to 4BB per hour. (from my observations over 100s of hours) on PP. Even Andy B has mentioned his prefernce for 30/60 s7

What limits do you play? and what games & site?
How difficult was it to move up? is playing at night better than the day?

I play mostly 5-10 and 10-20 on partypoker. Playing at night is better than the day. The best games I think are 2am-5am.

It wasn't hard for me to become proficient at poker. I am a master level chess player and have really great discipline/patience, which is probably the most important thing in poker.. I am used to playing 6 hour games of chess so I don't mind sitting and waiting for hands.

I played full time 6 months while I was in between jobs so I will offer my opinions here. I played mostly 5/10 and some 10/20 on party, the jump between 3/6 and 5/10 was easy 5/10 to 10/20 was much tougher.

On average nights are better then days and weekends are better then week days. It sucked that I had to force myself to stay in either friday or saturday nights because thats when the games were the juciest. My biggest mistake was waiting a couple months to get rakeback, that cost me thousands of dollars probably.

You have a lot of flexibility playing cards and the money can be good but at the same time there is a lot of stress and it can be lonely for lack of a better word. Overall I would not recommend it if you are going to be a 5/10 or 10/20 online grinder. If you have the skill and bankroll to play higher then it could be a cool thing but that is just a guess.

I was specifically interested in Stud player or Stud 7 blogs. Any recommendations? Or if they are unaviailable any O8 or limit H/e blogs u would recommend?
Also in terms of multitabling I think 2 or 3 tables of 3/6 or 5/10 stud 7 is possible. with a win rate of at least 1.5BB ($27 to $45 is possible) Stud is tougher so i cant see playing more than 2 tables
