Default I played poker today [brag and bad beat]

So I finished up a test with half an hour left in class, then left and this put me with 1.75hrs until the next class today, so I log into my favorite site and decide I can maybe muster up a little session in my downtime.

So I join a wait list for a $150/300 game that features one donater in it. I'm first on the wait list. While waiting, just use IM and surf the web, watching my battery power dwindle down (I used the laptop earlier before class too). Finally, it's my turn to take a seat after like an hour waiting, and it ISN'T the donater's seat who I'm taking, yay!

I post BB. Nikla raises in EP (6max), so I fold my 63o. Next hand in SB the donater raises UTG, and again fold my Qh8h. Donater's BB now, and of course he sits out [my bad beat!]. Game continues, I get 44 on my button and 3 bet the CO's open raise. He calls. Flop K88 two clubs, he check folds and then the game breaks with me up $447 and my first winning session in a few weeks [brag]!

I think more people need to combine bad beat and brag threads into one.

So high stakes games like that completly revolve around the willingness for 1 crappy player to play, otherwise you take a hike?

Wow, that is one feeble bad beat.

Were you serious that this was your first winning session in a few weeks? Sounds unreal.

I've played 200ish hands the past few weeks online over mb 2 or 3 sessions.

not entirely, but the fact that one guy is making the game that much easier is always more appealing

Please. Schneid's avatar has more entertainment value than 80% of the threads in this forum.

As long as "bad beat" posts are allowed this whole forum is worthless, no offense.

Plus as a side note, I personally think it's amusing that I've had no desire to play online lately, then when I finally did, I couldn't play in the game I wanted to. Sort of like the Poker Gods saying "Schneids, we don't want you to play."
