10/20 weird action on a blind steal, A4o
Villain is a 40/30/1.5. Haven't seen anything memorable out of him, i'm pretty new to the table. He has 2.75 BBs left after his turn bet.

I think I usually just give up. He does have a higher pair he a bunch, and if he doesn't he has tons of outs. You are folding if a K,T, or 8 hit on the river, right?

I usually flat call that flop and re-evaluate on turn. Why the raise?

Re: 10/20 weird action on a blind steal, A4o
I also like calling the flop for a few reasons:
1) This guy could easily have an OESD, gutshot w/ overs, or random hand and be willing to go 3bets on the flop so I wouldn't feel comfortable folding if he did. 2) A lot of cards (like this Q for instance) will make you wish you hadn't put that extra 1-2 bets in. To tell you the truth, against a LAG like this I often just call all the way down. As for how the hand played out, I fold the turn. |

Re: 10/20 weird action on a blind steal, A4o
i call this flop but i also fold the turn. after youved raised the flop the queen is a scare card for him and not a card he wants to be bluffing at. it almost assures that you have a pair at this point since it hits the gutshot draws so i really doubt hes donkbluffing this. hes probably more worried youre taking a free card now now that this would be a good card to take a free card on for alot of hands.
