Default pentagon propagand campaign

what do people think about this? at best, we are paying iraqi papers to print what stories we want, at worst, we are paying them to print what fiction we want. is the former o.k. and the latter not, are neither o.k.? are both a nececary part of war?

I don't think that it was the smartest idea because it would blow up into the story that it did. The thing is that no one has complained about the content of the stories because they have been largely correct and true albiet with a slant towards making the Americans look good.

I say objectively it is a good capitalist move. Get the truth out and makes some Iraqis some money...

I say subjectively that it was a poor idea because of how it looks and that is all that people really care about. Risk v. Reward is not present...
