I'm not trying to pick on you. I know you've stated you usually don't play these picks. But I have always had a theory that baseball favs (pretty much all sports favs) get overbet and skew the lines. This means value is typically on the dog side.
Today I end up touting a fav myself but generally most of my plays are on the dog side. Your nose picks record can serve as a cautionary tale to those who like to chase the chalk. More winners than losers but less money. It's not about the winner it's about the side with the value. |

Just as a side note, Sklansky states in "Getting the Best of It" that nearly all his football bets are on small underdogs.
I'm no sports betting expert, but I bet from time to time on soccer and ice hockey and it's the same thing there, the favorits are usually overbet by the public. So I believe you are right, mrbaseball. |
