I have a few off the top of my head that are worthy of consideration:

Caveman Lawyer

The dan ackroid guy that sold the bag o'glass, and invisible pedestrian, teddy chainsaw bear... to kids.

The ladies man was always good.

and a I think its safe to say that Ferrel's James Lipton was a gift from god.

Let's add Father Guido Sarducci into the mix.

And the Murray/Radner combo of Todd/(?).

I know they only did it once, but Martin Short's portrayel of a synchronized swimmer is on a short list of the funniest things of all time.

I am a big fan of two already mentioned, Mr. Subliminal and The Continental.

If one-timers are allowed, I'd nominate Jim Carrey as Jimmy Tango in the "Jimmy Tango's Fatbusters" infomercial.

I'm not sure if its been mentioned, but Phil Hartman's Frank Sinatra. Also, I don't think canteen boy should be included, I found that one of the stupider Sandler characters (and that's saying something)
