Hero is getting better than 2 to 1 and you would fold???

He gives no reads or even where the game is.

i just assumed game was party and opponent was typical... if this was live, or opponent is retarded, then of course call instantaneously... but what kind of moron checks this turn in a live game?

does anyone bet this turn btw? (is this full or shorthanded?)

in a shorthanded setting (not that the flop comes AAA for me all that often!!!) i feel if i'm only betting nuts here (Or i assume something like 78) im losing so much value from donks calling me down with any pp.

I dont know if this is a spot for pot control, because 100bb stacks I like playing (especially a reraised pf pot) it for all the marbles.

River decision is tough though, river checkraises simply arent bluffs. but would this guy have the discipline to check quads 3 times? seems so unusual, i could imagine someone going uber slowplay two streets byt when you check turn... Facr the board paired could mean he really is (as someone else alluded) just trying to push off a chop or maybe make an interesting play with something like 77.

I call though, given odds + the fact I dont consider it a leak losing 100 bbs with nuts to 2nd nuts.

I would throw out a small value bet hoping villian read it as a weak steal and calls, or comes over the top with a lesser pp.

Hard to put someone on Quads, but come on, this looks exactly like how most fish would play it. Raise pre-flop. Check/call the flop omg i slowplay. Check the turn omg im Mr.Tricky Im gonna slowplay again. Check-Raise the river all-in yay I win.

I think you should just move in on the river if you're going to call this raise unless villain is tricky enough to go for the bluff check raise.

This was an online 9 handed game. I had never played with the Villian before, and judged him to be "reasonable".
However, i called and Villain turned over A9o to win the pot.

P.S. I stacked him 45 minutes later when he called my AA that i reraised him from 50 to 1500 preflop with 99.
