Re: Howard Lederer\'s Secrets of NL Holdem on pay-per-view
The "More Secrets..." is much better though most on this board won't need it.

Re: Howard Lederer\'s Secrets of NL Holdem on pay-per-view
It was built for his target audience not 2+2. I'm suprised he didn't explain that a flush beats a straight. Lederer is great but this show was meant for straight novices.

Re: Howard Lederer\'s Secrets of NL Holdem on pay-per-view
the first one is pretty basic. It's good, but if you've played a while, there won't be much new there. The second one "More Secrets of NL Holdem" is actually really good and presents some ideas I hadn't thought of before.

Re: Howard Lederer\'s Secrets of NL Holdem on pay-per-view
I got the DVD at CVS for $15. Howard is one heck of a hustler. Though there is nothing much about it I thought it was slightly better than Phil Hellmuth's DVD on tournament play when it comes to teaching new player, though the tip on Phil's DVD about blind/ante stealing on the bubble alone may be worth the price of that DVD.
