Table is uber loose passive. Button and MP especially fit the profile. Button will not raise with less than top 2 pair, and will often check top pair type hands to showdown. He has bet the river though when he hits an overcard for top pair. MP is similar, but not to quite the extreme of Button. Neither player will bet this flop or turn from sensing weakness in my, or the other players check. BB is new and unknown to the table.

Party Poker 5/10 Hold'em (6 max, 5 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
1 fold, MP calls, Button calls, Hero raises, BB calls, MP calls, Button calls.

Flop: (8 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP checks, Button checks.

Turn: (4 BB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero checks, BB checks, MP checks, Button checks.

River: (4 BB) J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (4 players)
Hero bets...

What is it about my read that makes you believe I shouldn't bet the river, because I'm usually more inclined to value bet against loose passives than an aggro player who I have a better chance of inducing a bluff from.

My apologies. I gave their betting standards but really didn't give any information on their calling abilities. They will only bet solid/premium hands, however they will call down with much less, the most extreme being the button who would likely call the river here with any pair. Does this information change anyone's decision?

No. For it to be a good bet all 3 players behind you can't have an A, Q, KT, or 2 pair combination, and at least one of the 3 also has to be willing to call you with a J, 9, 6, or underpair. Even though they're LP I don't think that's happening very often.
