Default (22) Level 5...99 UTG, your play?

Not exactly sure what to do here... any raise of significant amount pretty much pot commits me but not sure if I want to push here or limp, or gasp, fold?

Party Poker No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t150 (7 handed) FTR converter on zerodivide.cx

MP1 (t1230)
MP2 (t1910)
CO (t1700)
Button (t303)
SB (t865)
BB (t503)
Hero (t1489)

Preflop: Hero is UTG with 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I'm not pushing, and I'm not folding, so I guess I call.

Not only do I like the push anyway...but I think (if you make it around *heart stops*) the BB will be calling with some pretty suspect hands since he's posted almost a 3rd of his stack already (A and K little type crap).

Ugh, I don't think I like this. I don't want people to come along, and I'm presuming that your rationale is that you'll fold to MP1, MP2, and CO's push.

Since the stack sizes are so close, if you push I think that the calling ranges for these few stacks after you are very small. They really aren't eager to make this call. I think you've gotta push this. I've had friends advocate a fold here with 88 in the past, but I don't think I can bring myself to fold 99 here.

I'm reserving judgement.

I might call a bigger-stack push, might not.

I'm just not ready to risk my whole stack without more information, with almost exactly 10xBB and so many to act behind me.

Anything wrong with a standard 3x BB raise?

If you had AA here, how would you play it?

I think pushing is okay because the button, SB and BB are all short stacks, increasing the odds of a call with less than premium hands.

However, I would put in a standard raise if they were all healthy stacks.

Fold, AA never wins on Party.
