Default Mental effects of the PP skin split

anyone else love their monthly rakeback deposit for reasons other than just money? It added a 'little something extra' that lowered my stress level. Mostly the money, sure, but it was just knowing that i'm getting an average of (xx) # of dollars an hour for every hour i play. This knowledge helped me out when i hit a streak of playing poorly.

thoughts?

I play on a site that doesn't offer rakeback, but then again I don't play that much anymore.

Can someone explain rakeback to me? Is it only on certain sites? Thanks.

Play someplace else that has rakeback, if you need the crutch (or the income).

Otherwise you are free to purse poker for it's own sake, and not be driven by the baketake gremlins.

I like my rakeback, it helps keep me focused and not worry so much about the swings.

I've felt a little anxious the last few days, but I'm getting better.

Before the split I thought I had it all figured out. I was playing one site for RB, bonus whoring others, and preparing myself to move up limits. The split knocked everything out of whack. I have to make a new plan. I'm out of my comfort zone.

Despite the initial shock, it's not that big of a deal. As poker players, we constantly have to adjust to changing conditions and work to find +EV situations. This is no different. In the long run, smart players, like most on 2+2, will come out ahead. It's just going to take a little extra research and thinking until everything settles down again.

This is an interesting topic, I felt it last night when I played 3k hands and broke even, with r/b I would have at least had something to show for my efforts
