38s in the big blind. Villain\'s pretty bad.
oooook. Villain here is very very loose and really passive - unless he has a hand.
He is capable of getting kinda tricky. As somewhat of a read I'm going to post a hand we played together no more than 3 minutes before the hand I want opinions on - I think this hand may have influenced how the 2nd hand was played. This hand is meant as a read - respond if you want, but the 2nd hand is what I'm looking for opinions on. PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is Button with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, CO raises, Hero 3-bets, 2 folds, CO caps, Hero calls. Flop: (9.50 SB) 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) CO checks, Hero bets, CO raises, Hero calls. Turn: (6.75 BB) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) CO bets, Hero raises, CO calls. River: (10.75 BB) 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 players) CO checks, Hero bets, CO calls. Final Pot: 12.75 BB Results in white below: CO has As Kd (one pair, threes). Hero has Ad Ah (two pair, aces and threes). Outcome: Hero wins 12.75 BB. Now here's the hand I'd like thoughts on. Critique my thought process. PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) converter Preflop: Hero is BB with 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. 4 folds, SB completes, Hero checks. Flop: (2 SB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players) Ok I flopped middle pair lousy kicker. I pretty much decided that this hand is going to showdown. Partially based on the crap he just tried to pull on me. SB checks, Hero bets, SB raises, Hero calls. Ok he check-raised me again. Last time he had nothing. Could he be doing it again? Is this hand still going to showdown unimproved? I planned to just call down. Yea? Nay? |

Re: 38s in the big blind. Villain\'s pretty bad.
I think he has some kind of straight draw but a Jack played this way is also possible. It would be reasonable to reevaluate the situation after the turn. If you pick up the flush draw you should continue. If turn helps straight draws (7 or a Q) I might muck it.
