Default Seriously weird problem with Dell 2001FP

I'm posting this on 2+2 because there are so many people who have this monitor that maybe someone else has experienced this problem. I bought a Dell 2001FP monitor a couple days ago that I plug into the DVI port of my Radeon 9200SE video card. I have it as the extended 2nd monitor on my computer. Right now it is set at 1280x1024 resolution. When I change to 1600x1200 resolution, my Linksys wireless internet connection becomes unavailable. My computer is 10 feet from the wireless router, and as soon as I change back to 1280x1024 resolution, the connection comes back. I have reproduced this problem several times, so I am almost certain that changing the resolution is the cause. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Edit to add: my primary monitor only supports a maximum resolution of 1280x1024. I don't know if that makes a difference.

My guess is that this is a bug in ATI's driver. I would contact them about it.

Are you using the wmp11 linksys card? I had that card along with the 9200 video card. The wmp11 card gave me so many problems with connection drops. I tried everything to get it to function properly. I never could, so I just dumped it and bought a netgear usb card for like 20 bucks or so. I've never had any connection problems since.

I am using the WMP45G (at least that's what the model # is on the CD that came with the card).

I will certainly contact all of the vendors involved to see if they have a solution. What I thought would happen if I contacted them was that they would try to push the problem onto another vendor and I wouldn't get an answer from any of them. That's why I came here, hoping someone else had already encountered and solved this problem. It sounds like that's not the case though, so I will contact Dell and ATI. Thanks everyone for the ideas and the sympathy, .

Just as a warning, if you need in anyway to contact Dell for a) replacement, b) tech support and finally c) money back; don't bother.

Is there any chance there is electomagnetic interference?

You could try using different channel number settings for the router.

Maybe even a diffent monitor refresh rate could change things. Unlikely either of these will work though.
