Default Straddling on the button

I searched a little bit but couldn't find anything. Is there a thread somewhere that discusses the EV ramifications of straddling on the button in a 3-handed game?

I think there was one about a year ago. I seem to remember the conclusion being that it was the correct play if allowed.

if this is legal (shouldnt be), then it seems it would be obvious to straddle every time.

I always straddle the button when playing 3 handed. That should tell you something.

I brought it up because I was sure it was correct and played a long 3-handed session the other day and straddled every time. My play was later questioned by an OK player. Just wanted to find the old thread about it so I can say, "Ha. Told you so."

Why on earth would you let them know? Unless it's badbeetz, then it's OK.
