Default Caesars Palace and MGM Poker Rooms Confirmed - Spring, 2005.

We can put the rumors to rest boys. It's official.

MGM and Caesars Palace will BOTH open poker rooms in March/April 2005. The Ceasars room will be 15,000 sq. ft. (not small), and the MGM room will have 25 tables. This is pretty exciting news. Source is Las Vegas Sun.

No one cares all Vegas, in fact mostly everyone already knew, people want to know exact dates not guestimates

I haven't followed any MGM Grand threads in this forum. So, this may be duplicate information.

I've been in the MGM Grand a few times in the past month. The extent of their renovations astonished me. They basically shut down the entire front part of their casino (at the Strip entrance) a couple months ago and still haven't finished their work.

By comparison, when the Mirage remodeled their poker room, they only took a week at most. In fact, I can't remember a Strip casino having this type of extensive overhaul since I moved to Vegas nearly four years ago.

whoops, thanks for pointing that out ray. I only hope the poker room in the MGM is awesome i'd think it'll be open in time for the march madness rush but thats just me i'd love to play there and at caesars. Hopefully they have some good choices as to limits etc.

Lol. Yo Ray, thanks for stick'n up for my little post. I actually posted that info the day it was published (in the Las Vegas Sun newspaper).

Anyway, here's the answer to Terrapin's bump.

I have a friend who interviewed for a poker dealer job at MGM. He said the room will open in early March. He gave me this update about two weeks ago. I haven't personally been down to the MGM to check out the progress, so I can't comment further.

I have no further information on Caesars, but I'm really interested in learning if anyone does.

Thanks for the info!

With 5000 rooms overhead, the MGM room should have plenty of players in it.
