Cap preflop
bet out and 3-bet the inevitable raise.

Thanks all for the replies.
Opinions seem a little mixed here.

So the flop got checked through. Arg.
I think making sure it doesn't get checked through was the best reason for betting out on the flop.

Turn was the 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

So the board reads: 4 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I bet, UTG+1 call, CO raises, button folds, I 3bet, both call.

River: 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
I bet, now UTG+1 raises, CO calls, I call.

While I should have more aggressive preflop and on the flop, was I to aggressive on the turn and river?

Peter

PS: It was a $5/$10 6 max game.

I'm capping pf and keeping the gas down the whole way.

Is folding preflop an option? At full ring vs standard opponents, yes?

Swallowing miles of cock is an option as well, but one we will also forsake.

Ok, maybe not shorthanded, silly idea. But full table?

Right, you can't fold this shorthanded. At a full table with another caller in there (as we have here) who is often dead money, you have to play. But facing only a raise and a three-bet with no calls in the mix, yes folding AKo at a full table is often reasonable. It depends on the opponents.

Only if you have a read that the 3bettor will only 3bet with AA, KK and QQ.

With the extra cold caller makes me more likely to cap because you likely have a large equity edge here. Yet, I like the call PF even though you might be sacrificing some equity for two reasons:
A. Capping here is announcing a lot of strength, so you can keep your hand a little more concealed.
B. You are oop, by not capping it will give you more flexiblity as far a leading the flop or checkraising depending on the flop.

Given the preflop call and this flop I lead it everytime, any A will likely raise so you can 3 bet, and theres a good chance TT,JJ, and QQ check it through here.

To everyone who is saying folding is ridiculous: What range of hands do you put your opponents on? You have a raise, reraise, and someone who cold-called three bets. And you're out of position.

I'm not saying folding is necessarily right, but implying you'd rather swallow cock is dumb. I think this is closer than everyone is making it out to be.

Gimme somes hand ranges, and let's see what PokerStove says.
