Default How much fun would a rebuy SNG be?

I think they should have some rebuy SNGs. The main rule would be you can only rebuy if you bust out up until a certain point. You can't rebuy immediately and double your chips, and there's no add-on period. You should be able to rebuy until $75/$150 I think.

Is this completely retarded?

They'd take twice as long. No, thanks.

Yes, it is retarded. You get knocked out, you start another totally new one. I'm thinking (not much, but I did think for like 30 seconds) that the +EV thing to do if these existed would be to never ever rebuy, or for an even lesser variance option, never ever play them in the first place.

They are totally fun.

Ended up with 21 BIs as the prize pool, i believe that was 6 rebuys and 5 addons. So, not exactly what you asked, but i remember thinking while playing it "hey rebuy SNGs would rock"

We used to have rebuys at my home SnG game. I finally abolished them because I got tired of the lose people knocking each other out (usally a good thing) just to come right back and the other lose goose that knocked him out now has twice as many chips as me who was dumb enough to actually wait for a hand.

Rebuys with no addons (as we played them) is very -$EV for the tight player who is far behind in the avarage chipcount at the end of the rebuy level if he didn't double up somehow. Plus your folding equity is down the drain as well with all those chips on the table.

Contrast that to the fact that you have paid 1/2 to 1/4 of the entry fee that they have.

If i could sit in a Party Freezeout with t500 stack, but half priced buyin... um actually. huh. i dont know. Would this be good?
