Enough people dawg 'Tilt', and I guess they have their reasons (hmmm, bad script writing, poor acting, unreasonable/unrealistic poker play). But for me, I'll say this: I'd watch Michael Madsen paint a frickin' fence. He's just bad-ass, man. He's good for the show, and I think there will be some surprising twists before it's all said and done.

I'm hooked. Then again, I'm hooked on 'American Idol', too, so don't take my word for it.

OK, I've never tried to cheat a game of No Limit Hold 'Em where a million dollars is in play through a crude combination of hand signals and noises before, but if I was going to I might:

(a) Arrange the signals with my accomplice more than a few minutes before the game starts;

(b) Not be seen with my accomplice in the casino a few minutes before the game starts; and

(c) Not go through the hand signals with my accomplice in the middle of the casino right before the game starts.

But what do I know? I guess this is what condems me to a lifetime in the kiddie pool, where I will never make moves.

Wonder why they wouldn't go over that info while they were sitting around staring into space waiting for the phone call.

Also, make this the second episode where T6 is played. This time it loses. The writers are confusing the fish!

I'll admit it. I like Tilt. Each episode has gotten better/more interesting/ more entertaining. Great quotes in each episode as well. If they left the poker scenes out, it would be a great show. If the poker scenes made more sense, and it didn't encourage collusion, it would be perfect. As it is, I think it's pretty good.

Agreed. Doesn't get much better than him.
I thought this episode was considerably better than the first two. I like Tilt a lot, I'll bet a lot of the haters here would too if they stopped trying to hate it.

tilt is prolly the worse show ever, good for poker, but pretty unrealistic i mean, come on, very cliche'ish

"i got big slick" "no, but i saw your face" and what good poker player berates the bad players at his table?
etc. etc.

i've prolly never said these things in all my pokering

[/ QUOTE ]
cmon, its not a documentary. its an entertaining show.
all these things we see that arent realistic wont be noticed by the masses. if they had them setting up signals privately in a room hours before, youd be bitching they were showing people how to cheat and not get caught.
you ever watch a cop show, nypd blue, whatever? heres a flash, its not real, they make [censored] up, its for entertainment. if we were cops we would be able to point out all the unrealistic stuff thats on that show, but were not, so we cant. see what im saying?

best line ever: "no old man likes the thought of his daughter getting POUNDED by some guy. but if it has to be someone, i guess it's okay if it's you."

once again, the matador humiliates his opponent, who, by the way, almost didn't come back to the casino after his last beating. tell me why, again?

i'd say the hottie is definitely his daughter. what else makes sense?

also, i appreciated the relative restraint this episode showed. i agree though, that the hand signals on the floor of the casino was a horrible thing.

i liked seymour getting offed. killing a lead character is always a favorite in my book, and it's our first significant twist.

i also liked when ole boy has himself fooled that matador doesn't really cheat (his little speech to miami) and then 90 seconds later, he's showing him the signs. ooooh, so that's why they didn't do it upstairs! the irony thing wouldn't have been as good...

i hated...
-the scene with seymour and 'ole boy after clark and miami walked out (terrible dialogue)

-the scene with the rich guy trying to check in at the other casino. it was just dumb. he would know how to establish that sort of thing. have his guys call ahead, show him the cash, whatever.

-the ground rules. let's try a little harder to be gritty/witty, shall we?

-clark. just about everything about clark. oh yeah, and miami too, i guess. except her flashbacks.

-feckin' lee nickels. let's move past that storyline, shall we?

Oh, I like it. I wish I didn't like it. I probably made about 500 references to the kiddie pool last weekend at the casino.

In some games, you'll get a glock pulled on you for that.
