What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
You are in the hijack seat (mp3), and are dealt 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG+2, a very loose, fairly passive, and pretty much clueless recreational player, open limps. Folded to you. CO, button, and both blinds are all tight. |

Raise and isolate.

Re: What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
1) Never fold.
2) Raise 80% and call 20%, depending on my table image. There are times where I've raised 50% of the hands over the last 3 orbits and it'd be better to call here because I'm starting to get played back at too much. Rob |

Re: What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
I think I'm raising but not positive. With 55 I'd be reluctant to, but with 77 I think it's easy. Thoughts?

Re: What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
Reason I don't like calling is because 66 becomes very difficult to play post flop since its almost certain you'll have 2 overcards.
The blinds will probably be in the hand, and any kind of aggression will force me to give up my hand. |

Re: What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
Given your description of the players I would probably raise here to get HU with the weak limper.
I probably have a better hand than he does, and hopefully I can play better after the flop. HU against a loose/weak player I think 66 has a fair bit of showdown value (at this point anyway). btw, nice avatar [edit] forgot the 'why' |

Entity said he would call if he has been raising a lot recently, and that's the best reason not to raise it. Decent players will notice it and begin to re-isolate you with hands like AT, AJ, and KQ, even though you're actually raising pretty legitimate hands. They see you raising 7 out of 10 and they are right to think you're getting a little loose with the raising. |

Re: What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
ironically grunching it
Isn't this an easy isolation raise? going HU in position against a dunce player wouldn't be too bad |

Re: What do you do and why? (Grunch please)
Usually raise. Sometimes fold. I'd say raise about two thirds of the time.
