I've played quite a few hours against Doug (the "Bomber") locally here.

He's known as a big donator. Maybe he's better at tournaments than cash games because he is terrible at cash games. His VPIP would be somewhere around 50-75% at limit holdem.

He's a rich real estate businessman from what I understand (of course, rich, is a relative term. I have no idea about his financial worth that is just hearsay - but hey, that's what this forum is all about.)

I will admit that I am jealous of his win, but am also shellshocked because I think he is one of the worst players I have played against. I will also admit that it is possible that he plays so horribly at 15/30 because the game is too small for him and that outside of this limit I can't comment on his skills other than what others have told me.

Is this the guy who wears a baseball cap way too high on his head, such that his hair is visible between his bill and his eyes? a la a 7 year old?

What a weirdo. Plus he said he "gets these feelings sometimes", he "can't explain it". In reference to making long-shot calls. What a fish.

Am I the only one noticing his huge tells? Omaha flop is A44, Lee has A4xx. He shakes his head disgustingly, checks and leans back in his chair.

Not at all. I don't think Jesus was going to bet that flop anyway....but I was watching this with my GF (who has fun trying to figure out what is going on) when this conversation took place:

Her: "Hey, why does that guy look so upset?!"
Me: "Because he wants everyone to know he has a full house I guess."

And to top it all off on the A449 board he loudly exclaims, "If you got pocket aces you win!".

Albeit, a prodigious 7-year-old. The only things missing in this picture are cotton candy in one hand and a balloon in his other.

Ya, I think I saw Doug put you on tilt that day, maybe that is why you are upset at him for taking your money. I thought that you were one of the worst cash players I have seen play the game MarkD. I saw him go on a rush where he played any two cards on his rush and hit every one of them for 18 hands in a row and crushed your pocket pairs with straights, flushes and full houses. I think he plays a great game in that he plays his rushes well, makes aggressive plays with any two cards to try and win the pot. The 15-30 game he uses to experient, read people and then make moves (that is why he is so good in tournaments) as the game is too small for him. It's true that he may have had some bad runs (everybody donates) but he has won close to 60,000 playing the 15-30 limit games over the last two years. I guess you didn't see him book all those big wins of $1000- 3000 per night with a buy in of a few hundred. His style of playing the rushes, playing tight at times (especially when up money)and playing on his reads can be extremely frustrating person to play with.
I also cannot believe all the idiotic posts (ie. stewart, steele) people (except for the people that put positive comments) put on this site as are you that jealous of him as he is a zillion times the poker player you guys will ever be. He probably has 1000 times the amount of tounament winnings that all of you poker players combined. Didn't you parents tell you that if you did not have anything good to say, don't say it at all because what comes around, goes aroung. Even Jennifer Harman got blasted for her comments on TV by some guy in another forum. You guys should show more class and not make an ass of yourselfs on line.
