MLL - Week 1 - Season Openers
Welcome to the Micro Limits League!
Due to staggering demand, the Micro Limits League is open. Woo! Yeah! The what? The Micro Limits League is a heads-up league in the style of college football. All players are free schedule their own games and determine their own path through the league. Your results are based on two things and two things only : how well you played and how tough your opponents were. There's no handicapping by ending up with a tough path through the bracket, and you'll never have to be concerned with getting your results in by a specified time. This is your league. How it works - Visit the MLL thread for a given week, where you will find a list of all MLL members. If you'd like to challenge someone, the recommended way to set it up is to send them a PM on the subject and leave them plenty of ways to contact you. Or you can hammer it out through the PM. The time of the game is entirely up to you, the only thing required for the league is that you play a 25BB .02/.04 freezeout. That way no one's losing more than $1 at a time. At the completion of the game, it's customary for the loser to post in that week's thread saying who they lost to. If the loser forgets to post it within a few hours, the winner can post it. At that time, I'll plug your game into my incredibly complicated matrix, run it through many filters, translate it to French, and include it in the next week's wrap up. It's so strange that I feel the need to be condescending and repeat it. I just want to make sure that everyone's on the same page here. If you sign up for the MLL and keep a sharp watch on your PMs or these threads to find out when your first game is, you're going to finish the season 0-0. The admins will put forth exactly zero effort to schedule games. You are responsible for your own scheduling. You are free to play as many or as few games as you want. We recommend 2 games per week. I will be playing rather frequently, both to get this thing going and because I enjoy it. You should, too. What's Next - It's week one! The tone for the season will be set this week, as early favorites are upset, and players come from seemingly nowhere to post a strong early season record. MLL News - None, go make some! An epic 233 hands between SavageMiser and the Wookie has been put on hold. The scores are 0.86 to 1.14 in favor of the Miser after I've fought back from all in.
