Default QT hand in a 6max, played it right?

PokerStars 1/2 Hold'em (6 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
Hero calls, MP calls, CO calls, Button calls, SB completes, BB checks.

Flop: (6 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks, BB checks, Hero bets, MP raises, CO calls, Button folds, SB folds, BB folds, Hero calls.

Turn: (6 BB) T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, MP calls, CO calls.

River: (9 BB) 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (3 players)
Hero bets, MP calls, CO folds.

Final Pot: 11 BB

MP is a fish who wouldnt raise without a good hand, but I dintinctly remember him giving up a free card with two pair in a big multiway pot.

I like how you lead into him on the turn. Was this to see if he had a jack?

Limping with big suited connectors and small pairs UTG at a typical loose/passive table is a routine play. I dont see anything wrong with it.

at a full table sure I do it, though 6handed is a different game when it comes to limping, basically its the same as if UTG->MP1 all fold and you are sitting there in MP2 .. do you open limp QTs in MP2?

I'm folding 22-66, QJ,QT,JT, prob openraising KJs and better

suited aces x=8or higher are all openraises, as is 77+ AJo+

Openlimping blows at a 6max table. With this hand it's kinda close, but I would probably still raise.

This situation isnt like open limping MP2 in a full table. You are making situations too black and white. This is a 6-max. You can expect 4-5 to a flop every time and excellent postflop implied odds.

I think folding any pair UTG in a 6-max (a good 6-max) is an awful play as long as the threat of a raise is low.

bottomset's standards for utg in 6 max is fine.
openraising 22-44 sucks when you get 4 callers and don't flop a set.

Limping behind a limper is fine. Open limping is bad. Especially at a short table. You shouldn't openlimp from MP at a full ring, and you should virtually never openlimp at a short table.

There are hands worth limping UTG in a 6-max if the game conditions warrant it. Pocket pairs, high suited connectors, A-xs are some examples. QTs is actually a fold on this chart, but since KTs and JTs are worth playing, I can't imagine that limping is a terrible decision.
