Default Crazy Hand

5-10 6max

Villian is a decent regular who is in LAGish mode, isn't making many mistakes, but is playing very agressively. He has a stack around $4000.

I get A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in BB and have a stack around $2300.

4 players see the flop unraised.

Flop: A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

SB bets $10, I call, Two Folds

Turn: 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

He pots it around $60, I call

River 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]

He bets around $230, I minraise, He pushes all-in.

I have 1600 left. There is about $2500 in the pot.

Thoughts and results later. Is this an ABC hand barring Villian isnt drunk?

Ill just go ahead and put my thoughts out there. I didnt raise him from BB so he knows i dont have AA or JJ. If he has 77, he needs to be scared of 88, or a straight.

Can he have a straight? It seems really unusual.

It looks like he could have A8 and think that I have A2 from minraising the river. Then pushes on me because I didnt play more agressive on earlier streets. I normally play very agressive, and I think most people would clearly put me on A2 here.

Is 77 as likely as A8?

I think you can pretty safely rule out A8 imo. if he's playing LAG he is far more likely to raise that and the fact that he didn't raise leads me to believe that he has a small pocket (77) or 9T.

Also I'm not too sure I like your minraise on the river. what's your history of minraising with this guy around? i think thats important to know

preflop. but it depends on how laggy he is playing. another important factor in this hand is that you have to be more than 64% sure he has you beat on the river. if you aren't more than 64% sure than you have to call by pot odds.. i think i calc'd that right

I can't put him on anything other than 77 or T9. On the one hand, he's LAGgily betting out with his gutshot draw and hits his miracle card; on the other, he's leading out with a tiny bet and a set hoping to get raised; then he starts firing for real.

Either way, you are history.

I don't think it's for sure that Kane is history. The villain could definetly be making a move with some two-pair or one pair or whatever thinking that Kane is weak because of his river min-raise. villain might be thinking that kane wants to get some extra value but isn't so happy about his holdings that he'd be willing to put his whole stack in, and thus villain is putting him to the test
