I can't think of any reason why you wouldn't raise here.

Looks standard.

If its live and one of the blinds left it could be one of those blind on a button hands (though normally it would be a SB on the button). But anyways this seems like a standard riase escpecially with all that blind money in there.

With that much dead money in there, and all random hands against you, I'd raise it pretty much any time. Generally with even one person putting dead money in the pot, I open up my stealing range and positions quite a bit, maybe too much.

I am going to go against the grain and disagree. I think that unless you have knowledge that these posters are tight , you should go ahead and fold. Think, you have to fold out people who are in late position who also see all the dead money out there. They will probably be as eager as you to see a flop. If the blinds are tight it might be worth it, but my guess is that you will get 4 callers and be playing A9 OOP.

It depends on the tendencies of the four players after you. You'll win 23% of the time vs. 4 random hands, 29% vs. 3 and 40% vs. 2. If you expect them all to call (and they would be correct to call with almost anything, except for the sb) then I don't think your edge is enough to overcome the fact that you're playing A9 in a 4 or 5 way pot OOP.

But, let's face it, one or more will probably fold and then you have enough equity and the initiative.

So I think it's correct, unless the CO, button and BB are loose.

Any 9-high flop you have TPTK. And A-high flops you have a decent kicker. Occasionally you'll get trapped vs AT-AK but you should be far enough ahead of the dead money to compensate.

nothing in holdem is standard!however that being said ur r raise in that position is the mark of a tight aggresive lion of a player.u r against 4 random holdings and if u r going 2 play ur hand just calling is the play of what we in the poker world call"A LIVE ONE"or a very weak player.
good luck and remember aggresive play takes the money downnnnnnn!!!!!!!!!!!!!
