Default big blind 78o online 30 60

I have 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] in the BB. Three limpers and the SB folds.

Flop 8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. I check because someone always bets. It goes check, bet, raise.

Now what?

I muck this in an instant. Even if you are ahead now, you are OOP, and against a draw heavy board,.

i don't think calling and seeing what happens is out of the question. i believe your hand has some value here.

call and if a non-scare card hits the turn, go for a CR. If a heart or A hits, check/fold.

Bet the flop. Call a raise and call down a non-scary board, but consider releasing to a 3-bet.

Checking top pair because "someone always bets" is really awful unless you're going to do something constructive with that line such as a c/r. As played you lack the necessary information to make a good decision here. You haven't defined your hand. You could be against two FDs or a flush draw and an OESD or something really awful here like A8. As played I fold, very unhappily.

I asssumed he was checking intending to c/r. You didn't give a read of yoru opponents specifically the flop raiser and it makes a big difference. In general I think calling and then donkbetting safe/good turns and c/fing scary ones is a good line. I too would have just bet the flop though.

u need 2 drop down in stakes or come to the taj where i play in atlantic city.ur in a $30-$60 game and u CHECK with a very vulnerable top pair.bet out!i dont care that "someone always bets on the flop".if u bet and the next hand has middle pair and raises and everyone folds around 2 u then ur a heavy favorite.even if u get raised by a better hand u can very easly improve 2 the best hand.

Is checking really that bad here? I would love to see everyone check to button who bets, and I raise........
