Turn bet is fine. Getting raised by a passive player with this board, I fold to his raise.

I think a turn bet is fine as long as you will have no problem laying down the jacks. There are enough fish out there calling that flop with kq or some other gutshot that I am not giving a free card. But that raise definitely meant you are beat. I think a turn call would be horrible.

*grunch*

I think you can fold this easily. I can't imagine a passive player raising this board without a real hand.

Though, from Villain's perspective, if I had an Ace on this board, I might even just call the turn (e.g., representing someone who has a King and is just playing the board...) and hope to extract an extra bet on the river.

even passive players have the ability 2 fold a hand.when ur called on the flop with that flop staring him in the face unless he or she is a compleate idiot thay will fold .as a matter of fact i would put him on either a 10(most likly)or an ace and is sandbaging u.check and fold the turn but if opp.also checks the turn then bet out the river he might call u 2 c wat u have.

Passive players without an ace or ten are not raising here. Fold.

Just for the record, the jacks hit the muck pile pretty fast and I moved on without much second though. I posted this hand cause I had a 3rd party watching me play and was critical of my play on the turn. (hes a poker idiot anyways but having some backup online makes me feel a little better)

Thanks for the responses. posting another hand from my session today shortly...
