Default Q8s BB

Canterbury 30/60 9 handed. Button in this hand i do not know too much about, but he does have on a gold chain with a gold pendant that i believe is 2 cards (AK). He also is wearing several gold rings (one on each pinky), and a black leather visor covers his bleach-blonde, permed mullett. This is important because it cracks me up every time i look at him. I have yet to see him show down any junk, but he has been raising quite a bit.

Flods to button who raises, SB folds, I call with Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

Flop: Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
I check, he bets, I raise, he calls.
Turn: 5 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, he calls.

river: 3 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I bet, he raises, I...........

call because you just fell behind a whole load of hands or raise because you're ahead of anything but a set or runner runner flush. yeah interesting choice. call i think.

Bob, youre getting 8-1 to look this guy up on the river, with no read and a hand that can beat a bluff, I think you must call here. I believe you will win more than 11% of the time so a call looks right in my opinion. Besides a total bluff, the villain could have a hand like AQ or KQ and decided to trap you and wait to the river to raise.

looks like an easy call, a horrible fold, or a marginally nutty raise.

There's no way you can fold, So the board paired on the river, what hands are we behind because of that? AA and KK, I don't think we can really include those in his hand range because of the betting pattern. I think the hand you're more likely behind is a runner runner flush. I think calling is slightly better than 3betting but I don't think it's as easy as everyone is saying. Remember this is a blind steal situation. Calling is a bit better than 3betting and they are both way better than folding.
