Re: Anyone move up from 1/2 to 3/6 6max at PP?
I recently moved from 1/2 SH to 3/6SH.
I found the 1/2 games to be unbelievably soft. The 3/6 games are harder certainly, with more aggressive players, and less totally insanely bad players. But still the 3/6 games are pretty damn soft. More so than I expected. |

Re: Anyone move up from 1/2 to 3/6 6max at PP?
I just made the same jump as everyone else to 3/6 6-max.
What I've found is that these table are a lot more aggressive. There still seems to be one or two loose agressives at every table. And there are more tight players at the table. The main difference I see between the two levels is almost a complete lack of loose passive fish at 3/6. What's worked very well for me at 3/6 is playing textbook Miller's SSHE. Personally I found at 1/2 6-max that the SSHE strategy was sub-optimal due to 4-5 fish at every table creating a never ending stream of amazing suckouts. I found at 1/2 I could make more money with a tight/passive/aggressive strategy due to the large number of fish. |

[ QUOTE ]
A couple thousand hands is nothing. I crushed 5/10 sh for 3000 hands before it finally fought back. I really think 3/6 is almost the same as 1/2 skill wise, which is not much different than 5/10. [/ QUOTE ] It's about 5k hands, but point taken. Still, at 1/2 I can "table captain" for the most part, driving the action. At 3/6 I get played back at a lot more, forced into tough decisions. 1/2 was auto-pilot. |
